To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Collect a New License:

  2. Upload the License:

    • Access the FortiGate Web GUI or CLI.
    • Navigate to System > Dashboard > Status and find the License Information section.
    • Upload the new license file and reboot the VM.

  3. Reconfigure the VM (if needed):

    • If the license is not renewed, you may need to reset the FortiGate VM and configure it again.
    • Ensure network settings and policies are correctly reconfigured.

But If you get this message in virtual machine then you have to follow few rules where you insert few command in CLI then reboot your VM Machine problem will be solved.

Commands are:

# config system ntp (ntp)

# set ntpsync disable (ntp)

# set type custom

# end

# execute reboot

Note: Most of VM Machine time has been expired for testing purpose that’s why we change time but time should be backdated and don’t change time zone from settings keep them as well as otherwise you will get in problem.
